Who we are

This policy explains how TECS-UK (“TECS”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit our website or get in touch with us. We are the data controller for that information. You can contact us at Unit 3 Focal Point, Lacerta Court, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, SG6 1FJ, by email at enquiries@tecs-uk.com or by phone on 0800 368 9954.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry, book a survey or send an enquiry, we collect the details you give us. This usually means your name, company, email address, phone number, the address of the building and any information or files you choose to share about the work.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider may record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This helps keep the site secure and working properly.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes, carry out and record our work, and keep in touch about a job you have asked us to do. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your permission.

Our legal basis

We rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving our business, and compliance with legal obligations such as fire safety record keeping and tax rules.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host, form handling and email providers, and the systems we use to keep job records. They may only use it to provide their services to us. We may also share information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Where we carry out work, we keep job and compliance records for as long as needed to meet our legal, insurance and building safety obligations, including the golden thread of building information.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be transferred. To make a request, contact enquiries@tecs-uk.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
