Legionella risk assessment remedials, crown court in Berkshire

Remedial works arising from a Legionella risk assessment at a crown court, from TMV replacement to re-piping in copper and tank repairs.

Project overview

A programme of water hygiene remedial works at a crown court, following a Legionella risk assessment, delivered for its facilities management provider.

SCOPE

Close out the actions raised in the risk assessment so the site’s written scheme of control could be brought fully up to date.

WHAT WE DID

We replaced and relocated thermostatic mixing valves so they could be serviced and tested, removed flexible hoses and re-piped the affected runs in copper, repaired the cold water storage tanks and updated the asset records. Work was phased around court sittings so that no courtroom or custody area lost its water services during the day.

OUTCOME

Every action from the risk assessment closed, with a compliant installation that is simpler to monitor and maintain.
